Trip to Blenheim

Hi all,

Thanks to Steffen (yes a Dutchman actually thanking a German!!) we now have a few posts ready for carving up into Wooden Dummies.
Dave has kindly volunteered to do this. This only thing being was to get the posts up to Blenheim. I volunteered to do this, and drove up with 4 posts in trailer. Darn those things are heavy!!

Not having been to Dave's place before, his instructions were clear, and had no problems getting there.
Had a good look at his gwoon. My goodness, what a fantastic place. Spacious, well laid-out. A place to be truely envious off. :-).
We trained that night, and the next morning (Sunday), before the trek home again.

My thanks go to Dave and his family for putting me up for the night.

Hi all,

I believe that the weekend went well. Those that attended got quite a bit of information from it all. Refinement of skills learnt and new ones to remember.

It was great meeting some of our Blenheim kin and look forward to many more gatherings!

A big THANKS to our Sifu for his time and dedication to the art called Wing Chun Kuen Kung Fu, and to us students. For without him, we would not know one-another, and learn this awesome art.

Also, a…

The local instructors there were Brian Finn, Awatea Edwin, and Honti (sorry I don't remember your full name). Others I remember include Kenny Waller, Lindsay Mutch, "Rocket", and Darryl.

Personally, I grew from a timid giant (I am 6'4"!) to someone who became rather confident in himself. I believe this was caused by the skills being… Continue

Well first of all fell sorry for the poor Hairdresser, but you should not mess with a German. Especially when the German is a Hessian, not a Bavarian! Some People could be offended about that mistake; luckily that German is not one of them ;-)))( we Immigrants should stick together, more so if you have German Roots yourself even if this are Bavarian Roots
On the other hand I have to admit that Dave is a great writer but he has definitely too much time on his Hands.
I am really looking forward to meet you (Dave) soon, so you can tell me all the details of that incident.
